Kitchen Counter Tops - Custom Counters - Marble & Granite

Serving Fort Worth, Grapevine, Southlake and more in the DFW Area

If you're like many Texas homeowners, you might have worn, decades-old laminate or retro-colored tile countertops.

If you dream of replacing it with a higher-end stone, or a warm wood or seamless solid surface, then Miland can make your dream come true!

Before you settle on a kitchen countertop replacement that's right for your space, consider the range of materials available as well as the ease of future maintenance and repairs.

Homeowners looking to increase the resale value of their home, for instance, may be interested in upgrading their counters with granite, marble or stone.

How do you know when it's time to replace your kitchen countertops?

Generally, it's time to upgrade when your countertops no longer match your design vision, are too difficult to maintain, and/or are damaged beyond repair.

Stone or solid-surfacing countertops sporting deep cracks, pitted areas, and scorched marks are prime for replacing, as are badly stained and broken ceramic-tiled counters. Laminate countertops suffering from outdated colors or patterns, deep knife cuts, water damage, or staining might also need replacing.

EDGE CUT TYPES ON COUNTER TOPS

The edge profile of the countertop is a small detail among many in the kitchen. And that little shape might at first seem a purely aesthetic concern. But it's not.

The shape of your countertop's edge can have a huge effect on function, impacting everything from cleaning to safety.

It's the surface you'll come into contact with most as you move through and use your kitchen, so its shape matters.

A completely square edge can be very dangerous. A truly square countertop edge would be extremely sharp! Even if you want a square-looking profile, Miland Home Construction will provide a small "kerf" to ease the edge a bit.

This serves a dual purpose: to make it less sharp and to prevent chipping and breakage. A sharp corner is much more prone to breaks than a slightly eased corner.

Whether you are doing a kitchen remodel in Fort Worth, Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, Keller or Dallas, we can help you with your kitchen counter top remodeling project in the DFW area.
